Afri-Berry: For women by women

Meet Relebohile Moeng, the Free-State born founder of beauty company Afri-Berry, a company she started with R10,000 in 2011 following a car accident which left her with over 150 stitches on her face and left her retrenched from work. She searched for products to help heal her scars until she discovered cold-pressed argan oil and thus the business was launched.

Afri-Berry is a level 1 BBBEE, black women-owned manufacturer of high-end organic skin repair and hair solution-based products, which include Jamaican Black Castor Oil, Cold-Pressed Coconut Oil, and East African Raw Shea butter. Nine years after they went into business Afri-Berry now employs 30 people at its Irene offices in Pretoria.

Afri-Berry products can be found in Pick n Pay and Edgars stores nationwide as well as various online merchants such as Faithful to Nature and My Health Online. The company also has distribution channels in Swaziland, Namibia, and Botswana and New Zealand and plans to further expand domestically as very as in North America.

Having won numerous awards, Afri-Berry continues to be a leading proudly South African manufacturer and supplier of premium, organic skin, and hair repair products. Go out there and show your support. We at Slay Nation salute Relebohile for her hard work and daring to dream!
