This is 27-year-old Angela Nimah, a singer-songwriter, designer and founder of crochet and knitwear brand RVL. The Soweto-bred designer started out as a thrift merchant before embarking on design. She wanted to create clothes for people who are alternative in their thinking, people who are bold and artistic.
The clothing brand has been in business since 2012 and produces accessories for women as well as a range of unisex items such as beanies, scarves, oversized knitwear as well as backpacks and belts.
In 2017, RVL Knit & Crochet joined a concept store in Braamfontein called RHTC Playground Store and Angela plans to keep expanding by opening a boutique that sells exclusive crochet knitwear.
